RM of Scott’s story
The Rural Municipality of Scott No. 98 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It sits in the southeast part of Saskatchewan, in Census Division No. 2.
The villages of Yellow Grass and Lang lie within its boundaries, and the unincorporated localities of Lewvan and Ibsen are found there too. The RM office is in Yellow Grass, where an elected council and an appointed administrator oversee municipal business.
Agriculture is the major industry in the RM today. The Lewvan (Farr Air) Airport is also located within the municipality.
